Construction started for me before I can even remember. I was five years old, following my grandfather from job to job — he ran his own construction business, and he raised me in it. My father left when I was young, so my grandfather became more than a teacher. He was the man who showed me how to be one.
I watched him for years before I ever picked up a tool. By my teens I was working beside him — every day through the summers, weekends all through the school year. His craftsmanship, his discipline, the way he treated people: that was the foundation he gave me. I learned from the BEST!
Over forty years later, I've built just about all of it — kitchens and additions, ground-up homes, commercial jobs. If it gets built, I've done it. The Navy sharpened what my grandfather started: how you do the small things is how you do everything, and a man's word is either good or it isn't.

For too long, I watched from the inside as companies promised a family one thing and quietly did another once the check cleared. I got tired of putting my name and my hands into work I couldn't stand behind.
So I'm building my own — with my family's name on it. The idea is almost old-fashioned: tell you the truth, do the work right the first time, and treat what you're building like it's mine. Scripture says let your ‘yes’ be yes — and that's how I've always worked. It's not just good business; it's what my faith asks of me, and it's the legacy I want to hand down to my daughter — the same way it was handed to me.
